Championed by Ford General Manager Lee Iaccoca, the Mustang was an instant success. Available initially as a coupe or a convertible, with a low starting price and a large choice of colors and options, the Mustang sold faster than Ford had ever hoped. It caught all of the other major auto manufacturers by surprise. It was so popular that through the 1965 model year the Mustang sold 680,989 units, its first year ! It remains one of the most collectible and instantly recognizable classic cars worldwide.

This particular example was manufactured April 28th, 1964. Just 2 weeks after the Mustang was first introduced to the public at the New York World’s Fair. The car still retains its original black license plates.
With just 69,100 original miles, it is an extremely well cared for example with great history. The 3.0L in-line six is smooth and powerful making the car an excellent grand tourer. It is one of just 670 examples made for the 1977 model year and is a very rare find.
The car has been highly maintained and extremely well cared for. It is finished in its original color combination of Poppy Red with a black vinyl interior. The car has just completed a full top to bottom restoration with nothing left unattended. All mechanicals were rebuilt during its restoration and the car has been fully serviced. It is beautifully detailed throughout including its stunning interior and engine compartment.
